According to the same report, the Hawks are actively trying to trade John Collins, but San Antonio wants to get Gallinari instead of Collins for Murray.

The Hawks must make a decision on Gallinari's future by Thursday.

All four times the Italian star has changed his team in the NBA were through trades. In his 14-year NBA career, Gallinari played six seasons with the Denver Nuggets (2011-2017).

The Hawks acquired him in a sign-and-trade deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder at the start of the 2020-21 season. Gallinari has also played for the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks.

In the last two seasons, the Italian forward played for the Atlanta Hawks. This past season he averaged 11.7 points (lowest since his rookie season in 2008-2009), 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
