A few hours after Stephen Curry got injured, the Warriors star seems to have avoided a big damage to his left foot, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Per the same report, Curry won't need MRI, and will attend Golden State's Thursday practice, ahead of Game 4 vs. Boston Celtics.

In the fourth quarter of last night's loss to Boston in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Steph Curry got caught up in a pile when Al Horford fell on his left foot, causing him to scream in pain.

Curry scored a game-high 31 points before he was hurt. At first, coach Steve Kerr said he didn't know how problematic the issue was. "I took him out with two minutes left because we were down by 14 points," he told reporters.

Asked if there was no concern moving forward, Kerr replied, "I didn't say that. The injury didn't force him out of the game."

After the game, Curry compared the injury to the foot sprain he suffered when Marcus Smart dove into his leg in March which caused him to miss the final 12 games of the regular season.

Curry said although he was "in some pain," he didn't feel like he would be sidelined.

"I'll be alright. I got caught obviously in some pain, but I'll be alright. I'll see how it feels (Thursday) and get ready for Friday. Don't feel like I'll miss a game. I'll take advantage of these next 48 hours to get ready."

Warriors guard Klay Thompson commented: "We need him if we want to win this thing. I know Steph is going to do everything he can in his power to play. I am really hoping he's okay because he's our identity, and without him, it will be very difficult."

The Boston Celtics lead the series 2-1 and are two wins away from claiming the NBA championship.
