Croatian big man Ante Zizic and the Turkish powerhouse Anadolu Efes are on the verge of completing a deal, sources told BasketNews and Moses Barda of One.
The big man will be one of the main reinforcements for the transfer campaign of the EuroLeague reigning champions.
Zizic was instrumental in helping Maccabi Tel Aviv reach the EuroLeague playoffs this season, averaging 12.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game and cementing himself as one of the best big men in the competition.
Anadolu Efes are expected to make changes in their frontcourt, with uncertainty surrounding the positions of Chris Singleton and Bryant Dunston. Meanwhile, the departure of young Serbian big man Filip Petrusev is almost guaranteed.
Zizic joined Maccabi Tel Aviv back in the summer of 2020 after spending three seasons in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In 2018, he played in the playoffs with the Cavs. Despite reaching the EuroLeague playoffs with Maccabi this season, the Israeli side finished the season in a disappointing way, getting eliminated in the semifinals of their domestic league by Bnei Herzliya.
