Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio admitted that he does not know where he will play next season, after being traded from Cleveland Cavaliers to Indiana Pacers and finishing his contract, but he is also unable to say where he would like to play in the short term, whether in the NBA or back in Europe, according to Mundo Deportivo.

"I would like to come back, but I don't know when or where, right now I'm just thinking about recovery and I enjoy basketball like any fan," commented the point guard.

Rubio also talked about the condition after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament on December 28, 2021 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"I am very happy with the evolution and with all the phases, the goal is to reach the preseason, to be able to start training, but I will play when my body and mind are ready," said Rubio.

Rubio also explained his feelings about the EuroLeague semifinal between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

"For the spectator and basketball fan it was a very nice game, there were many technical and tactical details. It was a shame that Barca lost, but personally I am very happy for Sergio Llull, because he is a player who has had a very hard time, because he had the injury I had years ago and he showed what he is as a player," he stated.

And he finished by giving the keys to what, in his opinion, happened to Barca.

"It is difficult to see one clear thing that Barca lacked. They played a great first half, won by 11 points. Maybe the spirit that specific players have. After the game you can go into details, but there are so many things and the EuroLeague is a very difficult competition. When it's a best-of-five playoff series, you have more space for error, but in one game any detail or dynamic that goes wrong changes everything".
