In the quarterfinals of the EuroCup, Valencia Basket (2) defeated Boulogne Metropolitans 92 (3), controlling the game for most of the time. Coach Penarroya's side won with the final score of 98-85 (32-26, 24-20, 23-22, 19-17) and will now face Virtus Bologna in the semifinal.

Cuban big man Jasiel Rivero continued to dominate inside and pushed back Metropolitans, extending Valencia's lead to 10 points (94-84) with less than a minute remaining on the clock. 

But in the final period, the Metropolitans started to climb back and reduced Valencia's lead to seven points (79-86). Will Cummings continued to be the main offensive force for the French side, reaching his new career-high in EuroCup (31 points).

The top scorer for Valencia Basket was Jasiel Rivero with 21 points (7/8 2PT, 1/1 3PT, 4/6 FT), 1 steal, and 18 PIR. 

For the Metropolitans 92, on the other hand, the top scorer was Will Cummings with 31 points (7/8 2PT, 3/6 3PT, 8/9 FT), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 37 PIR. 

The Spanish side maintained a comfortable lead in the third quarter, entering the final period with an eleven-point lead (79-68). 

At the beginning of the second quarter, Valencia extended their lead to 13 points (41-28). Metropolitans struggled to find their groove offensively but managed to finish the half down by 10 points (46-56) with five points in a row from Jordan McRae. 

Valencia played a fantastic offensive first quarter, shooting 6/9 from outside and without missing a single shot from two points (6/6). Jasiel Rivero had 11 points in the first 10 minutes, while Mike Tobey added 8 points. For the Metropolitans, on the other hand, Miralem Halilovic had 10 points without missing a single shot. Valencia led 32-26 at the end of the first quarter.
