It was a bad night for AX Armani Exchange Milan. They suffered a heavy loss at home against Anadolu Efes Istanbul, and they also lost Nicolo Melli, who picked up a calf injury at the end of the game.
The team's captain will remain sidelined for the remainder of the series, according to the club's official announcement.
"During yesterday’s game against Efes, Nicolo Melli reported an injury to the medial twin of his right leg which will be re-evaluated in four weeks," the Italian powerhouse communicated.
Head coach Ettore Messina, after the game, looked concerned about the condition of his star player.
"It was a very complicated night for us, and on top of that, Nicolo Melli suffered an injury. We'll do more tests tomorrow, but it doesn't look good, to be honest. It's a calf injury," Messina explained at the postgame presser.
