Brescia currently rank third in the Serie A (18-7). Virtus Bologna (21-3) and AX Armani Exchange Milan (19-5) lead the tournament. Brescia boast an open streak of 14 consecutive wins and with the qualification to the playoffs already sealed.

Brown, who recently parted ways with UNICS Kazan, is coming off an outstanding EuroLeague rookie experience. He averaged 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 2.8 steals in 25 EuroLeague appearances.

The 30-year-old forward will be having his fourth experience in Italy after those with Rome, Treviso and Brindisi. He will be wearing the number 00 on his shirt and in the coming days will be officially presented at a press conference.

"The fact that a EuroLeague player like Brown has chosen our club at this point is a big honor for Brescia," GM Marco De Benedetto said.

"In light of how our team has been constructed and what it has done so far, we have always thought that the only condition for adding a player would be for him to have added value.

John Brown represents energy and enthusiasm for the game at the service of the team, characteristics that have always distinguished him in his previous adventures and that will allow him to immerse himself in our system to enhance it and make it even stronger.

Brescia's style of basketball will not change, if anything it will be enhanced by the technical peculiarities of a player like John."

"We had always said that would be vigilant on the market if a good opportunity presented itself to strengthen the roster," coach Alessandro Magro added.

"John is a player who knows the Italian league well, who can give us great energy from a defensive and offensive point of view and who has grown year after year, coming to possess the record for most steals in the EuroLeague.

He can quickly fit into our system and can help the team to finish the season in the best way. I believe this signing is a reward and a gift that the club wanted to give to the team for what it has done so far: we want to finish the season in the best possible way."

BasketNews wrote a story about John Brown and his path to becoming the EuroLeague sensation.

Brown had recently agreed with the Perth Wildcats, but the NBL has denied his application to play in the league this season.

The 30-year-old American couldn't get the Letter of Clearance issued on time by the March 26 deadline.

Although Perth Wildcats requested to reconsider Brown's case due to extraordinary circumstances that delayed the issue of his Letter of Clearance, the NBL didn't make an exception.
