With 3:09 to go in the duel, Nedovic landed awkwardly after shooting the two-point basket. He fell to the ground and was in serious pain, while grabbing his ankle.
According to the latest Panathinaikos information, there is a big concern about Nedovic's ankle twist.
The first estimates speak of a sprain. Though, the Serbian guard will undergo examinations in Berlin to find out the extent of his injury.
Before exiting the game, the 30-year-old broke his EuroLeague scoring record for this season. Nedovic registered 27 points (8/11 2PT, 3/6 3PT, 2/2 FT), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 turnovers, and a game-high 25 PIR.
PAO's leader is averaging 14.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 13.2 PIR over 26 EuroLeague contests this campaign.
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul await the Greens on Friday in the final EuroLeague match of the 2021-22 season. Nedovic will not participate in that contest, as he will be flying back to Greece on Thursday morning in order to start his rehabilitation.
Concern among the Greens' ranks has skyrocketed, as next Monday (April 11), the Greek champs are playing their most important game since the Greek Cup final against archrivals Olympiacos Piraeus at OAKA (Greek league).
