In the Greek League, AEK Athens (9-10) suffered a home loss against Panathinaikos (17-1) who continued in their almost perfect run in their domestic league. Coach Priftis' side won the game in a comfortable way, building a solid lead already in the first half. The final result was 83-69 (20-17, 25-14, 17-17, 21-21).

In the second half, Panathinaikos maintained a comfortable lead with Papagiannis and Papapetrou taking over offensively and contributing heavily. AEK relied a lot on Ian Hummer but defensively struggled to find solutions to stop Panathinaikos. 

After a very balanced first quarter, Panathinaikos took control of the game in the second quarter. The Greens shot the ball extremely well from outside (7/13) and Nemanja Nedovic gave an important boost with 10 points in the first half. At halftime, Panathinaikos were leading by 14 points (45-31).
