The 43-year-old Nowitzki had to make the first and second team as part of the NBA 75 Euro Vote campaign.
In Nowitzki’s first team there was enough room for current superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic.
The Dallas Mavericks legend did not put himself in any of the teams.
"It's a short sample size for Luka, but he's obviously in the conversation, so I'm going to use him. And he's my boy, so that's the fifth pick," Nowitzki provided arguments for his selection.

- Luka Doncic
For his second team, Nowitzki moved towards Eastern Europe and the Balkans, selecting such players as Nikola Jokic, Peja Stojakovic, Toni Kukoc, and Arvydas Sabonis.
