Lithuanian center Arturas Gudaitis will finish the season in Italy. The 28-year-old big man officially signed with GeVi Napoli.

He was under the contract with Zenit St. Petersburg until 2023, but both sides found a solution to terminate the deal, sources say BasketNews.

Gudaitis also had interest from a couple of Lithuanian and Spanish ACB clubs.

Due to war in Ukraine, Gudaitis left Saint Petersburg recently and didn't come back to Russia.

In 17 EuroLeague appearances, Gudaitis averaged 6.7 points (61% 2FG), 4.2 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, and 8.6 PIR in 19 minutes.

The Lithuanian already played in Italy from 2017 to 2020. He won the Italian championship in 2018 and twice became the Italian Supercup winner (2017, 2018).

Gudaitis will be presented by Napoli this afternoon at 16:30 CET.

Napoli (9-14) are trying to avoid relegation and currently sit in 12th place of Serie A. 15th and 16th placed teams will be relegated to Seria B at the end of the season.
