Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant will be out at least two more weeks with knee soreness that has sidelined him for the past week.

Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said Thursday night he expects Morant back before the playoffs.

"We expect him to make a full recovery before the playoffs, and we're excited about that with two and a half weeks left in the season," Jenkins said ahead of the Grizzlies' game against Indiana. "We'll offload him early, then he'll start reloading pretty soon here with that two weeks in mind to re-evaluate."

Morant, 22, missed his second game Wednesday night in Memphis' win over the visiting Brooklyn Nets. He last played March 18 with 33 minutes against Atlanta, scoring 29 points.

The Grizzlies entered Thursday's action as the second seed in the Western Conference.

Morant, coming off his first All-Star appearance, is averaging 27.6 points, 6.7 assists and 5.7 rebounds in 56 starts this season.
