Nurkic grabbed the fan's cell phone and threw it into the spectator stands.

The incident occurred following the Trail Blazers' 129-98 loss to the Indiana Pacers on March 20 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Nurkic is sidelined because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

The 27-year-old has averaged 15.0 points and a career-high 11.1 rebounds over 56 games (all starts) this season.

The Bosnian big man has registered 12.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in 411 NBA career duels (330 starts) with the Denver Nuggets and Trail Blazers.

Nurkic was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 16th overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft on June 26. He was traded that night along with Gary Harris and a 2015 second-round pick to the Nuggets for Doug McDermott and Anthony Randolph.
