Vasilije Micic was held down to only 3 points on 0/4 from the field, as the Serbian guard struggled throughout the game and was reduced to dishing out 7 assists to his teammates. Shane Larkin scored 9 points on 3/10 shooting and couldn't help Efes get the upper hand in the closing minutes.

DoguĊŸ Ozdemiroglu scored 19 points for the winning side, while Nathan Boothe and Gabriel Olaseni added 15 points. Troy Caupain was another of the stars of the match with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Isaiah Pineiro also joined the caravan of those who scored in double-digits with 12 points.

For the EuroLeague and Turkish champs, Bugrahan Tuncer became a star with 25 points and 7 assists on 5/7 three–pointers. Rodrigue Beaubois had 12 points and Yigitcan Saybir 10 for Efes, who are currently looking to improve their EuroLeague status (13-9).

Although the hosts' lead reached up to 10 points in the last quarter with Ozdemiroglu's three-pointer, Efes came within one thanks to Shane Larkin (81-80). After a foul by Tuncer 6 seconds before the end, Pineiro made no mistake from the charity stripe and increased the margin to three points.
