Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic will miss at least a month due to injury, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Nurkic was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team says. Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It involves inflammation of the tissue that runs across the bottom of each foot and connects the heel bone to the toes.
The 27-year-old Bosnian player is averaging 15.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks over 28.2 minutes this season.
Nurkic has averaged 12.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in 411 career games (330 starts) with the Denver Nuggets and Trail Blazers.
The Blazers are currently ranked 10th in the Western Conference with 25 wins and 34 losses.
