A 31-year-old American player is on an expiring contract this season, but he is expected to remain in CSKA, sources say BasketNews and Moses Barda of One.

Clyburn has worn a red-and-blue jersey since 2017. He helped CSKA to win the EuroLeague in 2019, becoming the MVP of the Final Four.

"Russia is home now," Clyburn described his time with CSKA in the recent And One interview on BasketNews.

"My son has been in Russia more than he's been in America. I've grown bonds with everyone that's been in Russia so far. You can't be anywhere for five years without considering it home. So Russia is home for now," he added.

Clyburn is averaging his EuroLeague career-high 14.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists this season.

He's the 7th best scorer in the EuroLeague and ranks 12th by performance index rating.

Clyburn is another upcoming EuroLeague free agent who will be taken off the market.

Recently, FC Bayern Munich signed Vladimir Lucic to a new contract that runs through 2025. Guerschon Yabusele penned a new three-year deal with Real Madrid at the beginning of the year.

BasketNews first mentioned Clyburn most likely staying with CSKA on the latest URBONUS podcast:
