Anadolu Efes Istanbul consider parting ways with center Filip Petrusev, reports telesport.rs.
According to the Serbian outlet, Efes head coach Ergin Ataman is dissatisfied with the 21-year-old center’s effort on defense. Moreover, as far as Ataman is concerned, Petrusev is free to choose his next career stop.
Telesport.rs adds that Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade closely follow the situation and show interest in signing the Serbian forward.
According to the report, the fact that Petrusev would be ineligible to play in the EuroLeague is not a concern for Zvezda, and the Serbian powerhouse would be happy to use a 21-year-old in ABA League games only.
This season Petrusev averages 5.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 5.5 PIR in 18 EuroLeague games.
