Svetislav Pesic has written a book, "My game, my way". The Serbian National Team head coach announced it a few days ago.

"I think it can be useful for coaches but also for basketball fans. I have tried to explain the way how to reach goals and success. There are a lot of anecdotes. I have shared my experience about motivation, how to communicate with players, press, referees," explained Pesic in an interview with Cadena SER.

Pesic also took a look at some of the current topics in basketball, such as FC Barcelona's season, the return of Marc Gasol, and Sarunas Jasikevicius' capabilities.

Regarding Gasol's comeback to Girona, where he plays and manages his own club, Pesic has no doubts that it is an unusual story.

"I have a great relationship with him. I want to congratulate him publicly. He already has done and still does a lot for this sport. Not only in Girona. He could be playing in the NBA, but he preferred to be in the Spanish second division. He is a special guy," Pesic said.

FC Barcelona has lost three of his last four games in the EuroLeague. Despite this, Pesic has no doubts about his former club.

"They have to win every title. At least to reach the Final Four. If you are there, everything can happen. However, this year with the pandemic, you do not know what will happen tomorrow. This uncertainty is difficult to manage," Pesic admitted.

Pesic was the head coach who led FC Barcelona to its first Euroleague title back in 2003. He returned to the Catalan club in 2018, winning two Spanish Cups.

"I don't like to talk about my past. Everyone knows what I gave to Barca, especially the fans. I am also a Barca fan. I want them to always win, both in basketball and in football. When I am in Barcelona, I have the feeling that I am in my second home", Pesic confessed.

Asked if Jasikevicius has also been so enthusiastic, Pesic admitted: "He has everything that Barcelona needs. He is a winner, hard worker, and enthusiast."

Finally, regarding his current job as the Serbian NT head coach, Pesic said it is a new challenge in his career.

"I can't count on the best players, so it is a great opportunity to test the youngsters. It is an interesting process to see which ones could be part of the future of our country," he concluded.
