After losing to Darussafaka Istanbul in the last round, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (13-3) dropped their second straight contest at the Basketball Superleague. Fenerbahce lost to league's bottom team, Petkim Spor (3-13), 90-95 (19-21, 17-26, 21-10, 25-25, 8-13).

After hard-fought three quarters, Fenerbahce came into the last period ready to take the victory. They gained a nine-point lead at one point (71-62), but Petkim didn't roll over, reducing their deficit to one with less than three minutes remaining (77-78).

Fenerbahce regained a five-point lead in crunch time, but the hosts retaliated, tying the match at 82 after Sean Armand's 3-pointer. Marko Guduric had the chance to win it for Fenerbahce, but his shot was off the mark and the game went into overtime.

Petkim's hot streak continued in overtime. They never allowed Fenerbahce to lead and went up by five points with 21 seconds remaining (93-88). The hosts converted free throws and secured a five-point upset victory.

Melih Mahmutoglu and Devin Booker led Fenerbahce in scoring, putting up 16 points each. However, Marko Guduric was the most efficient player for them, ending with 14 points (0/2 2PT, 1/6 3PT, 11/11 FT), 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 18 PIR.

Petkim Spor went on an 8-0 run midway through the first quarter, securing a seven-point advantage (19-12). Even though Fenerbahce tied the game at 19, Petkim orchestrated another spurt, outscoring the visitors 11-0 and gaining a double-digit lead (40-30).

Fenerbahce came out much more focused in the second half, kicking it off with a 7-0 run (43-47). The visitors continued pushing Petkim Spor, tying the game before the fourth quarter started (57-57).

Fenerbahce played without Jan Vesely, Nando De Colo, Pierria Henry, Marial Shayok, and Danilo Barthel today.
