The Spanish derby between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, originally scheduled to be played on January 2, has been moved to Sunday, January 23. The game will start at 18:30 local time.
Liga ACB officially suspended the original date of the duel, due to COVID-19 outbreak in Barca. Then, Catalans announced six new positive cases, including head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, Brandon Davies, and Nicolas Laprovittola.
Earlier, Barcelona faced roster problems as well, while Nick Calathes and Kyle Kuric received positive test results. Though, the worst is already in the past, as Barca's players are back on track.
According to the official report, Liga ACB has placed 18 postponed games during January, aiming to recover the decisive contests before the scheduled date for the classification closing of Copa del Rey (January 30).
