As if Nando De Colo and Jan Vesely missing at least one month of action apiece was not enough, Fenerbahce Beko announced that Marial Shayok suffered an injury to his left shoulder during team training today.
The 26-year-old Canadian guard-forward underwent an MRI which revealed a labrum lesion. The labrum is a ring of cartilage that follows the outside rim of the shoulder and hip sockets. It keeps the ball of the bone in the socket and provides smooth and painless shoulder or hip motion.
Marial Shayok's condition will be re-evaluated after a four-week course of treatment, Fenerbahce's announcement reads.
The EuroLeague rookie has averaged 4.9 points on 35% three-point shots, 1.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 3.1 in PIR over 13 games and 14 minutes of playing time with the Turkish powerhouse.
