After undergoing knee surgery in July to repair a torn ACL, it was expected that LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard would have missed this entire season to recover from surgery.
But the situation might be different after all. According to a report from Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, Kawhi Leonard is ahead of schedule in his rehab process and a return on the court this season might not be so impossible after all.
According to Haynes, in fact, in the last few weeks, Leonard increased the intensity of his workouts and he's looking in great shape.
The Clippers are currently at the eighth spot in the Western Conference with a record of 19 wins and 19 losses.
A return of Leonard during the season would definitely help the team in getting away from that play-in area.
The team coached by Tyronn Lue are also without their other star Paul George right now. The former Indiana Pacers forward suffered an elbow injury.
