After yesterday's announcement by ALBA Berlin, saying that an unspecified number of Covid tests returned positive, the team released an update on the infection count.

ALBA announced that a total of 11 players, coaches, trainers, and front office members have contracted the virus. However, the German club have also stated that the infected are doing well and currently experience no or only mild symptoms.

ALBA were scheduled to take on Panathinaikos OPAP Athens in Round 19 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Thursday. However, the match has been suspended by Panathinaikos' request, who have also been dealing with the Covid outbreak.

The German squad also did not compete in the EuroLeague last week, after their game against AX Armani Exchange Milan was suspended due to Covid. The match is now scheduled to take place on January 18.
