The EuroLeague fans are forced to take a week off. Per BasketNews sources, due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Zenit Saint Petersburg, the last standing game this week in Milan was suspended.

"Zenit requested the suspension after several team members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves the team without the minimum eight players on the Authorization List fit to play," the EuroLeague officially announced on Thursday night.

On Thursday morning, Zenit officially reported that five members of the team (4 players and 1 staff member) had returned positive results in the COVID-19 tests before the road game against AX Armani Exchange Milan.

Zenit were already on their way to the airport, where they were scheduled to depart to Milan. But they had to turn their bus around because the last-minute tests showed few more COVID-19 cases, sources say BasketNews.

The Zenit-AX Armani Exchange game was the last duel standing this week in the EuroLeague. Other 8 matches were suspended due to COVID-19 outbreaks in the majority of teams.

The game was scheduled to be played in Milan on Friday at 20:30 CET.
