The Dallas Mavericks have decided to give Isaiah Thomas a chance to return to the NBA elite.
Dallas Mavericks / Schedule
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the 1.75 m player will sign a 10-day contract with the Mavericks.
Mavs currently operate without six players: Maxi Kleber, Tim Hardaway, Trey Burke, Luka Doncic, JaQuori McLaughlin, and Willie Cauley-Stein.
Thomas appeared in four games for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, dropping 19 points in the first match. Later, his points average dropped to 9.3 per match, and the team decided not to extend the cooperation.
Thomas played his best basketball with the Celtics. The guard averaged 28.9 points (38% 3PT), 5.9 assists, and 2.6 rebounds over 33.8 minutes in 2017.
Re-occurring injuries have plagued Thomas since then. After being traded from Boston, the 32-year-old represented the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, and New Orleans Pelicans.
