Covid-19 outbreaks in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague teams continue, as Olympiacos Piraeus announced three new positive cases.
According to the statement by the club, three other members of the team tested positive for coronavirus, increasing the total number to eight (seven first-team players and one staff member).
The Greek powerhouse already postponed Tuesday’s practice to see the results of new tests. However, since new cases were detected, the rest of the team will do another round of tests.
Olympiacos had a scheduled game on Wednesday in Peace and Friendship Stadium, where they should have hosted CSKA Moscow. However, EuroLeague officially announced that the contest was suspended by Olympiacos' request.
Apart from that, EuroLeague postponed another two games of this week: Fenerbache Beko Istanbul v Real Madrid and AX Armani Exchange Milan v ALBA Berlin.
