The global pandemic leaves no one untouched. With COVID-19 shuffling teams' plans more and more, FC Barcelona announced that Kyle Kuric has contracted the virus.

According to the official announcement, the Slovakian guard has tested positive on Sunday via an antigen test. The player was retested yesterday, and a PCR test confirmed the initial diagnosis.

Kuric is now isolated at home with mild symptoms. Best known for his deadly three-point accuracy, the guard is averaging 8.8 points and 2.1 rebounds for 8.4 PIR in the Euroleague.

FC Barcelona is already playing without Nigel Hayes-Davis and Pierre Oriola due to COVID-19. The club's last match against BAXI Manresa in the Spanish ACB league was also postponed after an outbreak on the opponent's team.

The Spanish powerhouse sits first in the Euroleague standings with 15 wins and 2 losses, marking the best start since the new format was introduced, and second in the ACB standings with 11 victories in 13 matches.
