Panathinaikos OPAP Athens sank Lavrio 93-69 (24-19, 29-19, 18-18, 22-13) at OAKA, becoming the third team to qualify for the Greek Cup Final Four, to be held in Crete between February 18-20.

The hosts had assistant coach Vassilis Simtsak take on the head coaching job tonight, as Dimitris Priftis was absent, as well as Howard Sant-Ross and Jeremy Evans. However, the Greens were not affected in the least bit.

Simtsak saw his team put extra energy on the floor and took many things from every participant. Players who didn't have much playing time, like Lefteris Bochoridis and Vassilis Kavvadas, or were underperforming like Kendrick Perry, came forward putting their signature in the game.

Lavrio, on the other hand, played without their former star player, Tyson Carter, who's moving to Zenit Saint Petersburg.

So far, Olympiacos Piraeus and AEK Athens have also punched their ticket to the Greek Cup semis. The fourth team will be decided between Promitheas Patras and PAOK, a game which was postponed due to the increased number of COVID cases in the visitors' camp.

The Greens dominated the game in the first half, with Nedovic setting the tone. The Serbian guard scored 15 points on 5/7 three-point shots, leading PAO to a clear advantage of 53-38. Nedovic wasn't so much needed in the second half, as Panathinaikos were up by almost 30.

Lavrio, who are playing Nutribullet Treviso for the Basketball CL play-ins next week, had two players (Dimitris Kaklamanakis, Vassilis Mouratos) in double digits.

Panathinaikos: Nemanja Nedovic 15 (5/9 FG, 3 AST), Lefteris Bochoridis 12 (4/5 FG, 3 REB), Kendrick Perry 10 (3 AST, 3 ST), Giorgos Papagiannis 10 (8 REB), Ioannis Papapetrou 10 (3/9 FG, 4 REB, 7 AST), Okaro White 9.

Lavrio: Dimitris Kaklamanakis 14 (6/10 FG, 6 REB), Vassilis Mouratos 11 (9 AST), Jerry Smith 9, Matt Williams 9.
