Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green entered COVID-19 protocols, The Athletic reported Sunday.

The three-time All-Star would become the fifth Warriors player to enter protocols, following Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Damion Lee and Moses Moody. The team also was missing assistant coaches Mike Brown and Chris DeMarco for Saturday's win over the Phoenix Suns due to protocols.

Green, 31, has averaged 8.4 points and 7.9 rebounds in 31 games this season while continuing to have a major impact on defense. He has averaged 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks in 2021-22.

Green will have to test negative twice 24 hours apart or wait at least 10 days before returning to the Warriors, per the NBA's protocols.

Golden State owns the league's best record at 27-6 after taking down its main challengers in the Western Conference, the Suns, 116-107 on Christmas Day.
