CSKA Moscow (7-2) needed a perfect fourth quarter to get a bounce-back win against ninth-placed Enisey Krasnoyarsk (3-7) at home by 97-88 (23-23, 20-23, 21-23, 33-19).
The result was overshadowed by the injury of Daniel Hackett, who left the court in the second quarter of the game in tears. The extent of the injury is uncertain, but the Italian guard needed help exiting the court. His status will be updated again when more information is provided.
Enisey were leading in the scoreboard for most of the game, as Casper Ware scored 29 points to pace the visitors in the three first quarters.
Alexey Shved's outburst in the final ten minutes made sure that CSKA wouldn't suffer another VTB League upset. The Russian international scored 16 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.
Marius Grigonis and Will Clyburn followed with 16 and 15 points, respectively.
CSKA will be hosted by Olympiacos in Piraeus for EuroLeague Round 18 next Wednesday night (December 29).
