Free-agent guard Joe Johnson is signing a 10-day deal with the Boston Celtics, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Johnson is returning to the franchise that drafted him 20 years ago and is expected to play tonight vs. Cleveland, via the report.
The 40-year-old American athlete is a seven-time NBA All-Star. He hasn't played in the NBA since Houston in 2018.
The next year, Johnson began playing in the BIG3 league that was founded by Ice Cube.
Johnson holds NBA career averages of 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists over 1276 games.
His prime time was with the Atlanta Hawks in 2005-12.
