"A team that only wins at home can't be serious." Neven Spahija had no doubts about how to express his feelings after another disappointing performance by his team in Istanbul. Actually, the Turkish trip has been a nightmare.

Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (5-11) struggled once again on the road. 72-87 against Anadolu Efes, and even worse in Fenerbahce's Istanbul court (53-75).
"I give credit to their defense, but we did not even show up today," Spahija recognized.
It's nothing new. In the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the Vitorianos have won just one game away from Vitoria. It was back in October in Berlin.
Apart from that, the other seven matches as visitors ended in the same way, with a loss. Baskonia is averaging a poorly 64.1 points per game on the road, making them the worst team in this area (Panathinaikos OPAP Athens are currently averaging 67.3).
"We need to play much better, and then everything will come," Spahija admitted in the press conference after the eleventh loss of the season.
The Croatian coach could not hide his concern about Baskonia's situation.
"We need to learn, work together and come back home to see why this happen, why every game we make 19 or 20 turnovers. And it's about the team, not just one or two players. We played really bad in the offense this week," Spahija noted.
It seems that the worthy win at Palau Blaugrana and the convincing one at home against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne was a mirage.
Although it is not an easy moment, Spahija sent an encouraging message.
"I have a lot of experience, we are just at the beginning of the season. There's time to work and improve. We are far from Baskonia's character", he concluded.
