Panathinaikos AthensMartinez appeared in the starting lineup in yesterday's away match against Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. After hitting two 3-pointers in the first six minutes of the game, Martinez sprained his right ankle and didn't return on the floor.
The 22-year-old will undergo tests to determine the extent of the sprain. Until then, his return to action is without a timeline.
Martinez will certainly miss Thursday's EuroLeague match against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens. In addition to being shorthanded, Barcelona are facing a grueling travel schedule.
