Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Indiana Pacers forward/center Domantas Sabonis have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 8.

The versatile forward powered the Lakers to a 2-1 week. James scored 30 or more points in two of three games in Week 8 and averaged 26.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 3.5 steals, including two triple-doubles. The Lakers (15-13) are the No. 6 seed in the West standings.  

Domantas Sabonis, Indiana’s low-post star, was a standout in Week 8 as the Pacers went 2-0. Sabonis had a double-double in both of Indiana’s wins and averaged 25.4 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 75% from the field.

The Pacers (12-16) are the No. 13 seed in the West standings.
