Olympiacos (8-1) faced some defensive issues but ultimately cruised past Apollon Patras (4-5) 98-78 (26-13, 25-25, 25-23, 22-17) at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

Shaquielle McKissic was the leading man for the hosts (who had five players in double-digits), going for 22 points on 8/11 field goals, against a very competitive rival who deserved something better than the 20-point deficit.

The Reds started off in an impressive fashion, leading 26-13 in the first quarter. Larentzakis, Martin and Papanikolaou led the hosts in scoring against a team not particularly strong away from their home court.

Apollon responded with Orlando Coleman and Greek forward Giorgos Tsalbouris hitting shots from downtown, as their team managed to stay relatively close for the most part.

Center Giorgos Diamantakos dunked it, with six minutes remaining (84-74), but Olympiacos stormed into a partial score of 11-2 to finish off the battle.

Olympiacos: Shaquielle McKissic 22 (8/11 FG, 3/3 FT, 2 REB, 2 AST), Giannoulis Larentzakis 12 (5/6 FG, 2 REB, 3 AST), Hassan Martin 10 (5/5 FG, 5 REB), Livio Jean-Charles 10 (4/5 FG, 7 REB), Kostas Sloukas 10 (2/8 FG, 6 AST).

Apollon Patras: Giorgos Tsalbouris 18 (7/16 FG, 2 REB), De'Jon Davis 17 (4/10 FG, 9 REB), Orlando Coleman 14 (5/10 FG, 3 REB), Cleveland Thomas 13 (6 REB, 3 AST).
