Yesterday, Partizan NIS Belgrade suffered their second ABA League defeat, losing to Cedevita Olimpija. Partizan's leading scorer in the 7DAYS EuroCup, Kevin Punter, missed the game due to an injury.
"Kevin has an injury that could have led to a more serious setback, a longer absence. That's why he decided to be in treatment. How long will he not play, it's best to ask our doctors," said Zeljko Obradovic post-game, per MozzartSport.
"I only know that the players' health is always the priority. We do not need to end up in a situation where he does not play for a long time," the Serbian mastermind added.
According to Obradovic, Balsa Korpivica is also out due to an ankle injury. Partizan will track both athletes' condition.
Kevin Punter is averaging 19.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 22.2 PIR over 6 EuroCup games. The 28-year-old American is posting 7.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 6.7 PIR in 10 local competition matches.
