The short-handed Chicago Bulls signed veteran swingman Alfonzo McKinnie to a 10-day contract on Friday.
The Bulls added the 29-year-old veteran via a hardship exemption as the team currently has five players in the league's health and safety protocols.
McKinnie previously played for the Toronto Raptors (2017-18), Golden State Warriors (2018-19), Cleveland Cavaliers (2019-20) and Los Angeles Lakers (2020-21). He has averaged 4.0 points and 2.6 rebounds over 165 career games (six starts).
His best season came with the Warriors in 2018-19 when he played in 72 games and averaged 4.7 points.
He has been with the NBA G League's Mexico City Capitanes this season, averaging 24.1 points and 9.7 rebounds and shooting 43.3 percent from 3-point range.
Coby White, Javonte Green, DeMar DeRozan, Matt Thomas and Derrick Jones Jr. all are currently in the league's COVID-19 protocols.
