After leaving the Euroleague to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kevin Pangos has had a rough start to his NBA career. The Canadian guard made his debut in the NBA G-League last night for the Cleveland Charge.
Pangos played a total of 37 minutes to help the Charge (6-4) comfortably defeat Iowa Wolves (4-4) 131-118 (25-30, 37-24, 31-32, 38-32).
The Canadian guard was the leader of the team, collecting 22 points (6/15 FG), 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and even blocking a shot.
Known for his high basketball IQ and tremendous court vision, Pangos was a part of numerous highlight plays throughout the match.
Pangos' leave for the NBA was a significant move in the European basketball market. Although the move was greeted with great hope, the Canadian's NBA career did not get off to an outstanding start.
After being celebrated as one of the brightest point guards in the Euroleague, Pangos has only played 8 matches in the NBA, averaging minuscule 3 minutes on the court with 0.5 points, 0.1 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game.
