Janis Timma leaves the UNICS Kazan club at the end of the contract, via the official announcement.
"We thank the Latvian forward for his contribution to the team's victories and wish him success in his future career," the report says.
On November 15, Timma signed a one-month deal with the Russian powerhouse with the option to extend it until the end of the season. However, both sides came to a mutual agreement to terminate further cooperation.
The 29-year-old sharpshooter played 3 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games and posted averages of 1 point, 0.7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 0.3 EFF.
UNICS was his third Russian team in Timma‘s career. Previously he wore Zenit St. Petersburg (2015-17) and Khimki Moscow Region (2019-21) jerseys.
Between these two experiences, he also represented Baskonia Vitoria and Olympiacos Piraeus.
