AX Armani Exchange Milan strengthened their frontcourt with 26-year-old forward Ben Bentil.
As it was reported by Italian outlets, Bentil was under a two-year, 1.1-million-dollar contract with Bahcesehir Koleji, his deal included a EuroLeague-out clause that Armani Exchange were willing to pay.
"Just to get the call from this club and help the team achieve what it wants to achieve is a blessing," Bentil said. "For me, this is a great opportunity and so I’m ready to jump in and help right away. I can’t wait to get started.”
Former Panathinaikos OPAP Athens forward produced 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game in BSL and 14.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in the FIBA Europe Cup with his current team.
"The addition of Ben Bentil allows us to add to the team a young, athletic, versatile player with some EuroLeague experience who will also be useful in many different ways," says Milan GM Christos Stavropoulos said.
Bentil was the No.51 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He has also played with Peristeri, Bilbao, and Chalons-Reims, after short stints in the NBA G-League, the Chinese League, and the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks.
