Anadolu Efes Istanbul (8-2) prevailed Petkim Spor (1-9) 92-82 (24-19, 23-11, 23-28, 22-24) to get their fifth straight victory in the Turkish Basketball Super League.
Anadolu Efes ran away from their opponents at the start of the second period, arranging a 12-0 run and gaining a solid 17-point advantage (36-19). Their lead reached the apex of 23 points (59-36) at the start of the third.
However, Petkim Spor did not raise the white flag. They answered with a massive 17-0 push to cut the deficit to just 6 points (53-59). Ergin Ataman's squad managed to stabilize its positions, closing the quarter strongly and being in front by 12 points (70-58) before the decisive 10 minutes.
Anadolu Efes maintained their tangible lead in the fourth and got a double-digit win.
Filip Petrusev was a leader for Efes, posting a double-double with 19 points (8/9 2PT, 3/3 FT) and 12 rebounds.
