Per the report, surgery will be on Wednesday, the timetable for return will come after the operation.
Michael Porter Jr. has a nerve issue in his back. Despite being only 23-years-old, the 2.08-meter forward has already undergone two back surgeries, one in college and another one during his rookie season. Because of that, he sat out the entire 2018-19 campaign.
In September, the Nuggets signed Porter to a five-year $145 million contract extension. The value climbs to $207 million if Porter makes an All-NBA Team.
Porter averaged 9.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists over 9 games until the setback.
Michael has posted 14.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 125 career games (71 starts) for Denver, shooting 51.8 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from 3-point range.
