Sweden started the game on a 10-2 run and held an advantage at the start. But Klemen Prepelic hit two consecutive 3-pointers to put Slovenia in front (31-30).
The hosts started the second half with a 10-0 spurt (52-44). Sweden cut the deficit to four with 1:52 remaining (86-90), but Slovenia held firm, winning it by five.
Klemen Prepelic was amazing for Slovenia, finishing with 30 points (3/6 2PT, 4/8 3PT, 12/14 FT), 8 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal, 3 turnovers, and 28 PIR.
Jaka Blazic added 23 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 turnovers, and 27 PIR.
The bench players for Sweden only scored 11 points combined.
