After last night's game against Olympiacos, Gigi Datome reached another milestone in his great career. He surpassed Italian legend Gianluca Basile and he's now the Italian record holder for point scored in EuroLeague with 2169 points.
During his career, Datome has played in EuroLeague for four different teams: Montepaschi Siena, Virtus Roma, Fenerbahce, and Olimpia Milan. Most of his points in the competition arrived with Fener, where he scored 1538 points.
Just like Basile, who won a EuroLeague title with Barcelona in 2010, Datome has won the EuroLeague title playing for a foreign team, Fenerbahce.
Gianluca Basile spent one season in Milan in 2012-2013, averaging 3.3 points per game.
