Cleveland Cavaliers rookie center Evan Mobley is planning to come back on the court on Sunday night when Cavs will face Orlando Magic, via Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The 20-year-old suffered a right elbow sprain on November 15 and was expected to miss two to four weeks. However, his progression is ahead of time.
Mobley sustained the injury while working for a position against Boston's Enes Kanter during the third quarter of the Cavaliers' 98-92 loss to the Celtics.
Mobley, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, is averaging 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 15 games this season.
Cavaliers have the NBA record of 9 wins and 10 defeats. They are sharing 11-12 places with the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Cavs are 9-6 when Evan Mobley plays and 0-4 without him.
