In the second Istanbul derby of the day, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (7-1) defeated Besiktas Istanbul (5-3) 82-74 (21-27, 25-14, 13-13, 23-20) to redeem themselves after Turkish Airlines EuroLeague losses. It was Fenerbahce's fourth Basketball Super League victory in a row.

Sasa Djordjevic's men found themselves in the first spot of the standings.

Besiktas led the way 37-25 in the mid-second quarter but Fener responded with an 18-4 push to close the first half on a high note and gain the 2-point advantage (43-41). Their lead reached 11 points (56-45) in the third period.

Even though Besiktas managed to cut their deficit to just two points (59-61) at the start of the decisive quarter, Fenerbahce pushed the accelerator pedal and finished the game on top.

Melih Mahmutoglu was a top scorer for Fener, posting 18 (8/14 2PT, 0/4 3PT, 2/2 FT), 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Jordan Bone was the bright spot for Besiktas. He accumulated 21 points (8/11 2PT, 1/5 3PT, 2/2 FT), 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.
