With several players out, including Italian wing Riccardo Moraschini, who might sit out for the rest of the season due to a potential doping suspension, AX Armani Exchange Milan is actively looking for additions on the market.
The team coached by Ettore Messina is following the case of Italian combo guard Tommaso Baldasso, who's currently playing for Fortitudo Bologna, a source confirmed to BasketNews. The news was first reported by Alessandro Maggi of Sportando.
The negotiation with the player, though, might have some issues because Fortitudo is still waiting for the return of Matteo Fantinelli, who has been out since this summer.
Letting Baldasso go, will leave Fortitudo with very few options in the backcourt since Fantinelli is still out and his timetable for a return remains unclear.
Olimpia Milan is currently missing Malcolm Delaney and so far both Jerian Grant and Troy Daniels haven't been particularly convincing, so making an addition in the backcourt makes sense for the Italian side.
Baldasso, who's 23, is currently averaging 5.7 points and 1.6 assists per game so far in Serie A.
