The Cleveland Cavaliers officially announced that Collin Sexton sustained a season-ending left knee injury on November 7 in New York.
Sexton underwent successful surgery on November 17 to repair a meniscus tear. After additional evaluation over the past week determined that surgery was the best course of action to treat the affected area, via the report.
The 1.88-meter athlete suffered a setback in the duel versus the New York Knicks.
The injury is believed to have occurred when Sexton and teammate Jarrett Allen bumped into each other.
The 22-year-old averaged 16.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 11 games this season.
