UNICS Kazan signed a one-month deal with Janis Timma with the option to extend it until the end of the season, via the official club's announcement.

BasketNews were the first to break the news about the 29-year-old Latvian sharpshooter's return to Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

UNICS is the third Russian team in Timma‘s career. Previously he wore Zenit St. Petersburg (2015-17) and Khimki Moscow Region (2019-21) jerseys.

Between these two experiences, he also represented Baskonia Vitoria and Olympiacos Piraeus.

Last season, Timma averaged 7.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 16 EuroLeague games with Khimki.

He also appeared in NBA Summer League 2021, where he averaged 7 points and 3.4 rebounds for the Orlando Magic.

UNICS (6-1) are currently at the top of the VTB League and stand 11th in the EuroLeague (4-5).
