Zalgiris Kaunas' front line will be bolstered by the club system product. According to the BasketNews sources, the Lithuanian champions verbally agreed with Regimantas Miniotas, who has been competing in Spain recently.

Via BasketNews, the 2.08-meter power forward is working on his contract termination and will move to Kaunas.

The deal will be officially announced in the coming days. Zalgiris would sign a long-term contract with Miniotas.

In November 2020, the 25-year-old left CBet Prienai and moved to Bilbao Basket.

This season, Miniotas has played 10 Liga ACB matches and averaged 4.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.4 EFF over 18.4 minutes.

Before leaving for Spain, Miniotas shone in the Lithuanian Basketball League. He started the 2020-21 campaign with the averages of 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds (11 games).

After such a performance, he received an invitation to the Lithuanian national team and played three matches in the FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers. He posted 6 points and 3 boards.

Miniotas started his professional path in Zalgiris-2 Kaunas, where he played in 2014-16. After that, he represented Vytautas Prienai–Birstonas (2016-18) and Nevezis Kedainiai (2018-19).
